The problem with rape is that people who are raped are too ashamed to speak up about the issue as there is a social stigma attached to it. It is worse in Nigerian or black african culture where there is a culture of shame attached to everything that seems a little off the norm.
To solve the problem of sexual victimization, we have to break the culture of shame and rape victims do not have to be ashamed to speak up when they are raped
